Project Description

PTFE

PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) is a thermoplastic obtained by sintering (pressing) or extrusion. Commonly known as Teflon, it is an excellent material for fiction and insulation, both thermal and electrical because it has the ability to withstand up to 260 ° C but no mechanical function.

Main features:

  • Excellent resistance to chemical attacks and hydrolysis
  • Excellent slip coefficient
  • High resistance to static temperature, up to 260 ° C without mechanical function
  • Excellent weather resistance
  • Maximum flame resistance
  • Excellent thermal and electrical insulation
  • Physiologically inert

Applications:

  • Parts for thermal and electrical insulation
  • Valve seats
  • Diffusers
  • Parts for the food industry
  • Coatings for welding
